Coming soon to a restaurant near you! After the success of OSCEdays Chicago 2017, I am creating a quarterly event series called Dialogic, bringing great minds together over food, drink, and engaging conversation. Each dinner will be hosted at a different restaurant in the city and invite a curated cast of attendees to debate, discuss, and deliberate emergent topics in the innovation sector.
The first Dialogic prompt? How can we create new organizational structures to account for human complexity and achieve progress? and What agency to individuals have to implement this change? Launching September 2017, stay tuned for details!
In June of 2017, I worked with friends and colleagues to organize a workshop as part of the international Open Source Circular Economy Days. My participation in OSCEdays 2017 marked the third year that I've participated in the event since its inception in 2015. Exciting! This year, we gathered thought leaders and innovators in the architecture and design communities at Archeworks to discuss: "What is social design in Chicago." Participants enjoyed a catered dinner and discussion prompts at self-selected dinner tables. Each table joined forces and presented their findings in a synthesis exercise at the end. The event was a huge success and we're looking for future opportunities to discuss further.
